Routine Dental Examinations:

A routine, 6 monthly, dental examination, will include the charting of teeth (including any restorations), a basic periodontal examination, where gums are checked, soft tissue screening (including checks for any abnormalities and oral carcinomas), routine x-rays and preventative care advice.

Fillings:

We offer a variety of fillings, including replacement of amalgam fillings (if appropriate) for cosmetic reasons. Each of our Dentists are happy to explore and discuss all available options, backed with professional, clinical advice.

Root Canal Treatments (Endodontics):

The need for root canal treatment can occur following injury to or infection of the pulp of a tooth, and can involve 1 or 2 appointments.

Most incisal, canine and premolar work can be undertaken by our Dentists. If root canal treatment has been recommended, this procedure could help to restore your natural tooth to full health, avoiding the possibility of extraction. Our Dentists will be happy to explain in full, their recommendation for undertaking this procedure and the benefits for doing so to you personally.

Crowns:

There are a wide variety of crowns available, including porcelain bonded, porcelain jacket, onlays, inlays and lava. Our expert Dentists are happy to discuss all options available within this field and offer sound, professional clinical advice.

Bridges could be a suitable alternative for those patients missing one or more teeth in a dental arch who do not wish to wear a denture.

Hygienist Appointments:

Your regular Dentist at the Practice will normally refer you to one of our on site Hygienists. Many patients see the benefits and results in attending regular Hygienist appointments.

Patients feel reassured they are preventing any gum and periodontal disease (which could result in the loss of a tooth), and keeping up to date with their oral hygiene advice and preventative care techniques.

Each appointment is tailored to your own personal needs and is carried out by one of our professional, on site Hygienists. They are able to offer expert advice on your oral hygiene and will work with you to tailor a suitable oral hygiene regime.
